    Introduction to Glass Painting

    Learn how to paint with light! We will introduce you to the specialist brushes and techniques for mixing and applying glass paint. You will get to make your own painted piece of glass which we will fire for you to permanently attach your design to the glass. If you are booked onto our Introduction to Leaded Glass course you can incorporate your painted glass piece into your leaded panel. Feel free to bring along your own ideas and inspiration, or come and be inspired by ideas in our studio!

    Paint a Copy!

    Learn how to copy different styles from the 12th century to today! Choose a stained glass design to study and learn the techniques to make your own version of it to take away with you! The pieces will be ready to collect after they have been fired.

    Introduction to Glass Paint, Stain and Enamel 3 Week Course

    Join us for a 2.5 hour session once a week for three weeks to explore painting on stained glass with paint, silver stain and enamels! You will get to make a selection of painted glass pieces to take away with you using the techniques you learn on the course.

  • Introductory courses

    Introduction to Leaded Glass

    Join us for a fun session learning how to design and make your own simple leaded glass panel. You will get to have a go at cutting glass, leading it together and soldering it.

    Introduction to Glass Fusing

    Relax and have fun making your own fused glass coaster. You will learn the basics of glass fusing using pre-cut clear glass and colourful glass frits. The glass will be heated and fused together in a kiln and will take several days to cool. The pieces will be ready for collection or postage within a week.

    We offer a range of individual or group specialist training courses on request, which we can deliver in person to your studio, or host in our custom workshop in York. If you have an area in which you want to boost your confidence or enhance your skills get in touch and we can tailor our course to suit your studio’s needs.     Edge-bonding with Epoxy Resin for Stained Glass - the Basics

    Edge-bonding with Epoxy Resin for Stained Glass- Advanced

    Our advanced edge bonding course using epoxy resins delves deeper into the techniques and best practices for achieving exceptional results in stained glass projects. This course is designed for those who understand the basics and are looking to enhance their edge bonding skills. Participants will address complex bonding challenges such as multi-cracks and lost glass requiring resin fills and creating supportive backing plates. With a focus on both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice, this course ensures that attendees can confidently apply advanced edge bonding methods in their own projects.
