Our values
We are committed to working in a sustainable and ethical way, ensuring transparency, integrity, and respect for both our clients and the invaluable heritage of stained-glass artistry.
Our mission is to protect and preserve the craft of stained-glass and the integrity of historic windows, ensuring they continue to inspire and captivate for generations to come. We use traditional techniques to deliver the highest standards of care, craftmanship and conservation.
Our main aim is to sympathetically preserve the integrity of the artwork whilst supporting the preservation of original materials wherever possible. We have extensive experience of carrying out cleaning and repairs in situ, as well as removing stained glass for treatment in the studio where necessary. We have worked on a wide range of damage, from vandalism and fire damage, to mould and damp, paint loss, corrosion, manganese browning and storm damage. It is sometimes necessary to take preventive measures to preserve painted details and reduce the environmental pressures on a historic window by introducing a ventilated protective glazing system. We produce all aspects of Environmental Protective Glazing in our studio.
It is important to us that we work in an ethical way wherever possible. This influences every part of our work. We ensure that we pay a fair wage which matches that recommended by ICON. We take time each year to support a charitable cause: this year we are supporting Motor Neurone Disease Association by donating time and resources to create stained glass which we sell to raise funds.

We aspire to the highest quality of craftsmanship with everything we do. The quality of our work is recognised by the Guild of Master Craftsmen and the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust.

We believe in the power of diversity and the importance of creating a welcoming environment for all. We are a disability friendly studio and are proud of our supportive, inclusive and flexible working environment. We celebrate different perspectives and are keen advocates for the promotion of good mental health in the workplace.

We are deeply committed to protecting our planet. From sourcing eco-friendly materials to implementing sustainable practices in our studio, we aim to minimise our environmental footprint. We recognise that many elements of stained glass have a high carbon footprint, so we are constantly working to improve our way of working to improve and offset this. Much of our furniture is custom built from salvaged materials to make the most of the resources around us. Our goal is to create beautiful, enduring art while safeguarding the natural world for future generations.
